Our journey began with a personal struggle with acne, sensitivity, and years of frustration. Founded by a scientist and skincare formulator, YOU Skincare was created to deliver clear skincare solutions that are gentle, science-backed, and made to restore balance—not disrupt it. This is the story behind the brand, and how clear, healthy skin became our mission.
Acne isn’t just a teenage phase. It’s complex—tied to hormones, stress, diet, product choices, and your overall well-being. I’ve learned firsthand that when we nourish ourselves holistically—from within and with what we put on our skin—it responds with clarity and resilience.
This is my journey. And it’s the reason YOU Skincare was born.
Growing up, I had combination skin—oily in the T-zone, yet often dry and tight elsewhere. I dealt with sensitivity, breakouts, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) that would linger for months.
In my teens and early twenties, my skin was mostly clear—until 2014. After reacting to a popular toner, I turned to “green beauty,” trying every natural and DIY remedy I could find.
Honey masks, oil cleansing, vinegar toners, essential oils—even skipping cleansing entirely. If it was natural, I tried it.
But my skin only worsened: more texture, more acne, more frustration.
In 2014–2015, my health hit a low. While celebrating personal milestones like marriage, I also faced constant stress, poor eating, and a lifestyle that left me feeling sick, bloated, and unseen by doctors.
I turned to acupuncture and alternative care for relief, but it was expensive and unsustainable. So I took matters into my own hands—hydrating, walking, improving my nutrition, and rebuilding my skincare from scratch.
I simplified everything. No more harsh products. Just gentle care and nourishment.
But something was still missing.
Frustrated with the endless cycle of trial and error, I started researching skincare science. I wanted products that weren’t just clean—but clinically effective. So I began formulating my own.
Small batches. Thoughtful ingredients. Designed for sensitive, acne-prone skin.
And the results were transformative.
That’s when YOU Skincare was born—out of necessity, care, and the belief that real results come from real science.
In 2023, I was diagnosed with acral lentiginous melanoma—a rare form of skin cancer.
It was unexpected, and it changed me. It reminded me that health is everything.
That skincare isn’t just about beauty—it’s about being in tune with your body, noticing changes, and honoring what it needs.
This experience deepened my commitment to intentional living and holistic care. And it’s why YOU Skincare will always be more than just a skincare line—it’s a brand built on wellness, science, and self-trust.
